Jerry, I'm glad you got your coffee maker, and that you like it.
But you said something in your message that made me think, that I
should have told you a little more about the commercial bunn coffee maker.
The commercial bunn coffee maker is connected to water all the time and
it's also connected to the electricity all the time. and there's only 2
controls on the whole machine. One turns the power on and off to the
machine. And on the on position you'll have a hot plate that is on all the
time.
and the second control is used to start the coffee making progress, that's
all it does.
With the coffee maker control off, this button doesn't do anything. However,
the coffee machine has a water reservoir that's kept at the same temperature
all the time, this is a tank inside the machine and on these machines the
water is adjusted for best coffee. I'm sure it comes out hot enough that you
would like it.
The water is always kept at the proper temperature whether the machine is on
or off. Well anyway, there's a few of us here but I'm a one person coffee
drinker, so I make occational cup of coffee with our curic with the strong
brew button. If I ever had a particular reason to have a dedicated coffee
machine, the bunn would be the one I would get. I'm wondering if there's a
reason why your coffee isn't hot enough. If you can't locate any adjustments
on the machine, maybe that's how it is. Just a little story I'd like to
share when I was working at the lunch bar back in the 70's. This is a true
story, and to this day
I've never under stood it. There was a customer would buy a cup of coffee
and
believe me fresh out of the pot, it was hot, however this guy would have me
take is cup of coffee and and heat it in the micro wave until it started to
boil. This is the part
that I couldn't believe if I hadn't been there and didn't witness it, I
probably wouldn't believe it.
Well I got this guy's coffee out of the micro wave and his coffee was barely
beginning to boil and I asked him, if he drinks it
when it's that hot. and he said yeah, it wasn't hot enough to suit him
unless I heated it up some more. and I told him I was just wondering, and
then right in front of me he began drinking it, and I told him I was glad he
liked it. Well, there's some things people do that I can't do.
Wayne and Arlene who is the one person green tea drinker
