Hi.
It has fully voiced menus with only a couple of specific things not voicing
like about and the move to/from sd card option and such. Everything I want
to do is spoken. It reads date and time when you have to set it which most
of Olympus's other ones did not.
It has the 3 microphone setup, but the central one is slightly noisy so I
keep it turned off. It records in mp3 or wav, with mp3 going from really
low quality to 128 and for some reason skipping 192 to go all the way to
320, and on the wav side it only has two choices, 44.1k 16 bit or 48k 16bit.
It uses the same british female prerecorded voice that the vast majority of
talking Olympus recorders did.The only exception I know of is the dm4 which
used a tts engine for spoken output.
