[Electronics-Talk] Way to Make VoiceOver OCR Current Screen?

            I am using an app where, for certain screens, much of the text
information is a graphic, but it is not marked as an image, so VoiceOver
does not automatically OCR it the way that it does with images. I can take a
screenshot and then VoiceOver will OCR that, but that is several steps. Is
there a way to make VoiceOver OCR the current screen?

            Also, has anyone ever dealt with apps that have buttons that
will not respond to VoiceOver? If so, did you find any way to activate them?

            I have tried writing the company, but I just got the generic
"Thanks for your feedback" canned response. I could chat with them online,
but I doubt that I would get anywhere.
