The biggest drawback is the response after the keys are pressed. Oh, it makes beautiful braille, but it takes forever for it to finish.

Oh, come on now. I’ve had mine for a couple of years and it’s been a dependable little eccentric fella. I kind of like it. But then again I wasn’t going to pay the $600. They wanted for it and happened to find somebody that was selling it for 200 used. I like it and it does a good job for me. The customer service is not bad either. So hopefully he finds a workable answer.

You'll probably have to send it back to the manufacturer. That's what I had to do once, and I need to do again.
I'm not sure how it works now, but I contacted them and they sent me a box to send it back to them and they fixed it gratis.
If you got it from the same place I got mine, here's the info I have:
ProxTalker.Com, LLC
327 Huntingdon Ave Waterbury, CT 06708-1413 USA

Personally, if I had to do it all over again, I would have kept my $600.
Let me know what happens should you send it back.

Please excuse me if this is not relevant for this list. I have a
6 dot Braille label maker that I bought several years ago. It worked fine at first and then started having problems almost all the time. If I let it rest for a long time, like several days, it will produce a few good labels, and then invariably start having problems-I think something with the tape-where it runs cells together, sometimes even two or three at a time. Has anyone else experienced this, and, if so, is there a good solution? I have tried changing the batteries, just for good measure, but nothing helps.
Nicole
