[Electronics-Talk] Accessible Printer

Ashley, half of what you say is right, but the other half is there's so many
different types of printers and so many different brands, sold by so many
different venders. By looking and searching out a printers, there are lots
of options. A combination scanner printer coppier sounds great, is not
always the best choice. I can think of 2 reasons. one is if the unit has a
failure then you're out of a printer and scanner and have to wait for it to
be repaired. Also with stand alone equipment you can get the quality of
printer or scanner coppier you would like to have, which in some cases
superior to an all in one scanner/printer/coppier. If you want a pricey, but
very good scanner that businesses use and is great for scanning books
because it's a book edge scanner, you can't have that quality and
flexibility in an all and one printer. If you're just going to do printing
jobs then the best thing to do is buy a lazer printer. and if you need a
very infrequent color print then it would be less expensive to have that
done by a business that does that kind of work such as office depot, etc.
How ever if you do a lot of color and you believe it's worth the extra money
to buy the ink, then an inkjet would be the one to get. I can only speak for
here, and I'm not going to recomend any particular brands since there are
many, but our last experience we purchased a brother lazer printer a few
years ago from office depot, it doesn't have a display screen. It has very
easy to feel control buttons. IT was so easy to set up, that it took more
time to unbox it and plug in than it did to set up. If anybody needs
something like this they are everywhere. Just look around you'll find the
right one.

now some of this reply might sound business like, part of that is
since we operate a business

Wayne
