My daughter has been living with me for four years and she is getting married. I have been alone before, but I would like to be able to know who is at the door without opening the door.
Thanks!
Susie

It depends on what you want to do, and what your expectations are -- but for basic functions, it is fine.
There is an app you run on your phone, and you have to get it on your wifi. I think I was able to do that all, but it has been a while and I can't remember for sure.
The doorbell has a camera that looks out from the doorbell enclosure. You can adjust how wide the view angle is, and this will probably require sighted assistance. Initially mine was picking up activity in the next door neighbor's driveway, which we didn't want.
When someone rings the doorbell I hear it on my phone, and Alexa device. You can talk to the person at the door, from your phone, but getting there quickly enough may take some practice.
Sightlings of course can easily look, and see who is there. The talking goes both ways, my son was in France, and saw me on the porch doing something, so he talked to me for free.
Others may have different mileage.
Dave
