[Electronics-Talk] Surveillance cameras

Surveillance cameras are something I don’t know anything about. I was looking at them on Amazon and one mentioned a monthly subscription. That doesn’t interest me as I’m not going to spend hours watching the dogs. Another one had no subscription but said the storage was on a sd card which would be a separate purchase. I don’t know how you access that content. Whether you have to remove the sd card and place it in another device or hook the camera up to your phone. And they all seem to have an app that you must use with no idea if it’s accessible. Does anyone have any experience with or knowledge of these cameras?
