[Electronics-Talk] traditional phone with answering machine recommendations

Hello all,

 

I live with parents and we communicate the old fashioned way sometimes.

 

One of our phones has a broken number and others sometimes don't work so
well.

 

If we replace the phone, I have a chance for us to consider enhanced
accessibility.

 

What traditional land phones can you all recommend?

We use Verizon.

 

Currently, I just use the phones by using the tactile buttons; so I am not
using accessible features, but sometimes I'd like to read the screen
information and believe with modern phones such talking features might be
possible.

 

The requirements are that it has built in answering machine, ability to
adjust the ring volume since someone here is hearing impaired, buttons to
program in numbers to call, and ideally a lighted up screen for easier
reading.

 

I'm visually impaired. For me I'd like some accessible features like some
talking menus and access to the call history if possible.

All of our current traditional phones also emit a beep as you dial the
buttons and I also want this feature to know I've pushed in the button as
I'm dialing.

 

I seem to recall that Panasonic had some accessible large print button and
talking phones years back. Not sure if they still do that.
