A follow up on the bill that impacts all students, faculty, and
administration in higher education:

m,hj1q> HB4005
Despite strong opposition, this bill continues to move in the House. Last
week, it passed its last committee. It is now in the full House calendar. It
is in its last Senate committee.
Once again I urge all of you to contact your representative and let them
know that this bill will have a negative bearing on higher education. If
these bills are passed; great distraction will occur in the learning
environment. Guns and weapons are not learning tools, they are deterrents
in the learning environment.
Moreover, negative outcomes have been well published and innocent lives have
been lost because of fire arms and weapons have been introduced in
elementary, middle, high school, and Colleges / Universities. We need to
take a stand and speak out and let your voice be heard. We can make a
difference and bring this bill to an end.
