[Fabs] Up Date from Meeting

Hello:

As you guys know, we had our second meeting at 6 tonight. I thought I’d
give you all an update on what we spoke about

·      presentations coming up March 19th or 20th at the Tampa Lighthouse
for the Blind

·      Virtual talent show that the NFBSC(National Federation of the Blind
of South Carolina) is putting on. (See forwarded email sent out a couple
minutes ago)

·      Spoke about how people would want to get more involved in the up and
coming division/chapter whether it may be running for President( who would
be running all meetings. Including sending out zoom links), Vice
President/VP(who would be working along the president to run and plan the
meetings. Would be the person in charge of running the meeting if the
president isn’t at the meeting), Secretary( the person who would be in
charge of taking notes from the meeting then emailing it to the list serve
for people who may have missed the meeting), Treasurer( keeps track of
money that comes to from the division and records all activity in terms of
money. This will only be in effect when FABS is a official division), Board
1,Board2, Board3(TBD). With that note, this will *NOT* be official until
the October convention. By agreeing to take any of these rolls, you would
be dedicating your time to the division to be, so please make sure that you
will be able to take on your rolls. At the meeting, we started nominating
people for the rolls in which they would like to participate in. Here is
what we have so far:

·      President: Meli, Jannik

·      VP: Z’Leah

·      Secretary: Elisa, Jaevon, Meli, Elijah

·      Treasure: Sewar, Meli

Board 1: Elisa, Sewar

 Board2: Camille , Meli, Fahad

Board3: Z’Leah, Jannik,

Advertisement committee: Meli, Sewar, Elisa, Z’Leah, Fahad

If you are interested in being any of these things, Please reach out to
Lea, Jannik or myself. You will be able to nominate yourself up until the
election occurs. We will be meeting on Sunday, March 14th at 7 to go over
the list. Our next FABS meeting will be held on Sunday, March 21st at 6pm.
Again, the election will not be official until the 2021 State Convention in
October.
