Roll Call: All were in attendance except Veronica, Meli, Sewar, and Jannik

Treasurer Report: Meli: Elijah motioned, Yassir second. All were in favor

Secretary Report: Sewar. Yassir motioned, Tom second. All were in favor

Headcount

Needs a definite count of people attending convention by August 23absolute
date Sep 3.

All must register and submit proof VIA email to Sewar
students at nfbflorida.org to have hotel room paid for.

General Information

The National Federation of the Blind of Florida is offering a $200 grant
to attend state convention to offset the costs of convention attendance.
During convention, mentors will be available upon request.

*Awardee Requirements*

Recipients of the grant are expected to complete the following:

• Be pre-registered for State Conventionand banquet

• Attend both general sessions

• Attend at least three workshops (of your choosing)

• Attend Board Meeting, Resolutions meeting and Rookie Round Up.  If
transportation hinders your participation in any of these activities,
please contact the committee chair, immediately.

• If assigned, assist with a convention activity

• As assigned, complete a post-convention self-report activity

Basket/Door prize  committee Update. Veronica had sked for everyone to
start gathering tale gate items for our basket.

What we are going to fundraise.

b.      Veterans Give Back

c.      Cell home-made body butter for 5 dollars a jar.

Student Social (not in any particular order)

a.      Have food and drink, maybe stromboli or pizza.

b.      Play games, board games or teach/introduce  students to RS games.

c.      Introductions/ icebreaker

d.      Hang out time/ quick reminders and a recap of Saturday’s events.
