Here are the minutes from the student division meeting that was held on
December 15. You will find them below this message. If you have any

The meeting started at 6:08pm by Z’Leah.

The NFB Pledge was recited by Jose, followed by the one-minute message,
recited by Z’Leah.

Icebreaker question- What is something that you wish to do different in
2025?

6:20pm: NABS Liaison Updates
Joshua mentioned the following: the auction at the annual NABS Winter
Seminar, and the 2025 Midwest Seminar in Chicago, IL with dates to be
determined.

6:30pm: Treasurer’s Reports

Beginning Balance (8/1/24): $1,760.38

Money spent: $50.00
Money received: $374.20

Ending Balance (8/31/24): $2,084.58
Jose made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report for September; Elijah
seconded. All were in favor.

Money received: $384.00

Ending Balance (9/30/24): $2,443.58

Eljah made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report for October; Jose
seconded. All were in favor.

Jose made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report for November; Niklas
seconded. All were in favor.

Jose made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report for December, Niklas
seconded. All were in favor.

6:30pm Secretary’s Report

The Secretary’s Report has been tabled for this month due to revisions that
were needed.

6:40pm: Announcements from the affiliate
The affiliate plans to match up to $1,000 to help with efforts for a
Southern Student Seminar with NABS.

6:45pm: State Convention Recap

Dominic, Natalie and Niklas all shared thoughts on their first state
convention.

6:50pm: NFB National Scholarship Announcement
The NFB National Scholarship is due on March 31, 2025. An applicant will
have to write an essay, speak to President Tate in an interview, and submit
proof of blindness, among other requirements.

6:55pm: Donations to Washington Seminar

Elijah makes a motion to allocate $85 per student as well as $50 to the
affiliate. Jose seconds. All were in favor.

Jose and Natalie plan to donate a fleece blanket to the NABS Winter
Seminar.

Jose makes a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:08pm, Niklas seconds. The
meeting ended.
