that was held back on January 16th. As always, if you have any questions or

FABS Monthly Meeting Minutes
January 16, 2025
Online via Zoom
The meeting started at 7:02pm
7:02pm: Role Call
All board members were present
There are 8 members.
7:03pm: Pledge by Elijah
7:04pm: One Minute Message by Z’Leah
7:06pm: Treasurer’s Report

Beginning Balance: 1,585.55

Money Spent: $335.00

Money Received: $0
-
Ending Balance: 1,250.55
Jose made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report, Niklas seconded; all
were in favor.
7:10pm: Secretary’s Report
-
This was sent out by email on December 21st.
Jose made a motion to approve the Secretary’s report as sent, Elijah
seconded; all were in favor.
7:12pm: Membership Committee report
-
RS Games Social on January 11 had 12 members and lasted about 4 hours
-
Revamped the FABS welcome doc and added a Linktree to keep all links in
one place
-
The next thing is to post videos on how to become a FABS member., and
more

A flyer is in the works
-
The next social is on February 8, with the next membership committee
meeting on January 31.
7:13pm: Fundraising Committee report

Meli had stated if they have any ideas to reach out to her.
7:14pm: Scholarship announcement

Due March 31

Submit needed documents, along with application and an interview with
President Tate

7:15pm: Washington Seminar Priorities

The three priorities are the Websites and Software Applications
Accessibility Act, Medical Device Nonvisual Accessibility Act and the Blind
Americans Return to Work Act.

Three seminarians discussed these priorities and why they are important.
Jose motioned to adjourn the meeting; Natalie seconded; all were in favor.
