Hi Pat, and all,
To me, it's helpful--definitely. HOpefully to Kathy as
well. Thanks, Pat.
Barbara Pierce has been our state affiliate president
of the NFB of Ohio for something like 24 years. This
past weekend at our state convention, she retired. JW
Smith is our new state president. So, yes, I'm
familiar with the wonderful, glorious Mrs. Pierce.
(smile)
Interestingly enough, unless I'm mixing up memories, I
believe Bob Eschbach was the NFB of Ohio state
affiliate president before Barbara Pierce, as well.
;-)
Thanks again for the leads and inspiration, Pat.
Strive On!

Everett I can tell you that Barbara Pierce has
functioned as a chaplain and
she's in Oberlin Ohio. I do know of another fellow
Reverend Robert Parrish
in Raleigh North Carolina who has functioned as both
a hospital chaplain
and a pastor. Bob Eschbach who now lives in Arizona
functioned for years as
a pastor in the United Methodist Church. Hopefully
this is helpful.

Hi Kathy, and all,
Not sure about chaplains in the military, but I found
out something along
the same line that I want to share.
Recently I found that there is a guy just south of me
here in Northeast
Ohio, next city over actually, who is blind and is a
pastor who has
successfully planted a church. Personally, that is
very inspiring to me.
I just wanted to pass that note along. Not only can
it be done,but it has
already been done and is being done. Thank You, Jesus.
I can't wait to talk more with this servant of God!
Again, sorry I can't
help with your Chaplain inquiry, and I do hope you get
a solid answer.
Strive On!

Hi all,
I'm wondering if any of you know of any blind chaplins
in the
military. Also, do you know if there are any sight
requirements for
such a position.
