You're all right about this.  But the Bible makes disabilities and
blindness especially look bad.  Jesus heals a blind man, and back in
he Biblical days, they didn't have Braille, slates and styli, the
Braillewriter, or even more, the Internet, computers, JAWS, and this
listserv.
Think about it.
It doesn't mention Jesus healing a homosexual.  Jesus never hung out
with homosexuals.
Did he?
