Hi all,

I talked to one of Dad's nurses this morning, to ask if they'd let me
see him if I come. She said "Absolutely". She said he is a very sick
man, he has no immune system, he's beat, and could use the support.
She asked if I have any other siblings, and I told her two brothers,
and that I'd do my best to reach them. She said that Dad is on the
phone a lot, but no one comes to visit. I told her that his wife has
told everyone not to come to see him, to keep him from getting
whatever it is we might have, therefore killing him. I was planning
to wait until after the NFB convention, but she said to come now,
while he is still pretty good. They're doing what they can for him,
but the Leukemia is keeping them guessing.

My step-mom sent an email this morning saying that Dad called her at
7:30 and said they couldn't wake him up; they also decided to go
ahead with all seven treatments--what have they got to lose? Well,
the nurse didn't think they had trouble waking him up, and she didn't
know about the change from 5 to 7.

So, I'll be leaving tomorrow afternoon to go to Oshkosh. We'll drive
part way, and go the rest of the way Monday morning. I'm prepared to
stay there as long as I need to, and my friend Sandy will stay with
me as long as she can; she's planning on at least a week. I won't be
on a computer, but I'll email you all when I return. I feel as if I'm
in limbo, but God is in control!

Blessings,

Linda
