[Faith-talk] Modern Foot-Washing

When Jesus washed the feet of his disciples, he was doing the work of a 
slave. The feet were filthy, even though the disciples probably wore 
sandals. Transportation was by means of animals, that often left solid 
exhaust on the streets to be stepped in. It's an intriguing question: 
what would be the equivalent today of washing feet in Jesus' time?

Worse yet, what would be the equivalent of kissing such feet, as the 
woman in Luke did?
