wonderful that he is doing better Linda.  Will keep him in our prayers.  I 
just got some good news today -- my mother got a clean bill of health from 
the vascular surgeon -- she doesn't need surgery after all -- in fact, her 
heart is healthy, and her arteries are not nearly as blocked as was 
originally thought.  So she is now supposed to feel free to exercise.  (Mom 
is 86 and very active.) She is funny -- she called and said that now she 
couldn't even pretend to be unhealthy.  So tonight we are celebrating.  (She 
went to the doc originally because of fatigue, but I think the fatigue is 
just from taking on too many activities -- she thinks she should be able to 
conquer the world singlehandedly.  Oh well, I have to keep her balanced.)

I wish your dad all the best. How could he do better with good family 
members around him?

Hi all,

I got home yesterday around noon. We had safe travel, but some rain
in Des Moines.

Here's the latest about my dad. My sister-in-law called me this
morning and said that they think he is 99 percent clean. He was
hoping to go home this week, but that will have to wait. They will do
another bone marrow biopsy Saturday, and he won't know the results
until Monday. His heart still has issues, too, but he is feeling great.

Thanks so much for all your prayers. Keep them coming; Dad is not
interested in things of the Lord, and doesn't give credit to Him for
his good health.
