[Faith-talk] purpose of this list?

Dear Community of Faith list,
It is my belief that the division working on isuues of 
communities of faith was established for the purpose of helping 
people fully participate in their own places  of worship even 
though they are blind.  The place of worship does not mean that 
it is only "Christian" in nature.
Dr.  Jernigan taught us that in our organization, the National 
Federation of the blind, we would always be wise to focus on 
issues associated only with blindness.  Any time we get off that 
track, there will be trouble because of the diversity of 
religious and political opinion represented inthe organization.
In my humble opinion, (or maybe not so humble)   it would 
decrease some conflict if we stayed on the mission of making it 
possible for all of us to be first calass citizens in our places 
of worship.
