Hi all,

My dad went to the hospital early yesterday morning, supposedly for a
heart cathiderization. He was short of breath, tired easily, and had
what he thought was Arthritis. Here's the latest.

I talked to my step-mom after church last night. She said Dad has a
spot on his lung, which is benign. He has Luchemia, which is
cureable. He is 78, but he has the body of a 60-year-old. Dad
wasn't home yet, so I called him this afternoon after I finished with
school. I got a completely different take from him.

They did a lot of tests yesterday, including taking a bone marrow
sample from his hip, a chest X-ray, and blood tests. It wasn't the
heart after all. He has Gout, for which he has a prescription, and he
is to drink lots and lots and lots of water. He said the spot on his
lung is Cancer. He also has Anemia and one of two forms
of Luchemia. At his age, it doesn't matter which form he has, as
neither is cureable.

He is going in Monday for more tests, including an Echocardiogram.
They'll have a consultation Tuesday to determine the appropriate
treatment. He said he thought he was bullet-proof, and that he'd be
around till he was 100. He's in good spirits, for now anyway. Maybe
he'll now think about his soul? I told him many are praying for him,
and he really appreciates that.

That's what I know for now. Thanks for praying.

Blessings,

Linda
