Truly this was the Son of God

Sometimes I feel like such a fragment. I muse upon the reality of the
Kingdom of God, that 2,000 years ago the Son of God walked upon this
earth,
was taken in the hands of sinful man, brutally murdered on a wooden
cross,
yet this Man was God, the One Who is unseen. And when He cried out and
died,
something shook throughout the whole of eternity. Something shook
throughout
the span of all of history, past, present, and future. Through this
violent

death of the Christ, was the victory of God over all evil.

The holy arm of the Almighty was bared in the sight of all the nations.
Picture yourself, looking up to that hill called Golgotha, where there is
three crosses, and in the center is One violently marred beyond
recognition,
exposed in the sight of all. He is the Son of the Most High God, baring
the
sin of the whole world. Can you see the whole of creation looking towards
this tiny

Spot on this little planet earth where there is the King of the Nations,
dying for the nations? Upon a sinners cross, baring His holy arm for the
redemption of mankind? Can you hear the universe quake and restlessly look
upon this with sheer awe? Can you see the warrior angels girding their
swords upon their thighs ready to rip through the sky and wipe this whole
wicked world into complete oblivion, at one order from God? But such an
order did not come. Gods Son was slain.

"So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw
the
earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying,

Truly this was the Son of God!'" (Matt 27:54)

Can you see the blank stare of fear and wonder on the centurions face, as
his eyes are opened to the reality that this was no ordinary man. That the
Man Who just cried out and breathed His last was the completion of what
God
had planned from the foundations of the world, to bare His holy arm in
the
sight of all, pouring out His blood for the nations, for the souls who
would

Receive it and for His exaltation as the Preeminent One. Selah- pause for
a
moment and think of the mystery and wonder of this. Time and eternity
watched. The Lamb of God was slain.

Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling, and to make you stand in
the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our
Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and
authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. Jude 1:24-25
