[Faith-talk] prayer for restored sanity

Some of you may know that my husband and I adopted twins who are autistic and also blind. My prayer for us is for wisdom on how to deal with one of them when he gets sick.
As you know, when a child does not feel well, you want to sit with them at night to comfort them when falling asleep. This particular child thinks that once you sit with him, you should do it every night and every time during the night when he wakes up. Needless to say, we’ve had many sleepless nights—my husband and I take turns.
Breaking him of this habit is getting harder and harder each time when he’s well again. Well, we’re in a breaking him of it time right now.
Pray we can soon get back to restful nights of slumber so we’re ready to face them in the daylight—and play with them.
Barbara

Through the sunny fields of yesterday
Echo voices of children now grown,
Their golden peals of laughter
Ring upon the ivied stone.
