You need the Holy Spirit in order to pray right.

 

           ?Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know
not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh
intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.? Romans 8:26.
In
order to pray right according to the Father?s will, we need the Holy
Spirit
to pray through us. Whenever we pray by ourselves we will not receive,
for
we pray ?amiss? (James 4:3). We need the Holy Spirit to pray through us
when
we pray for others. Only God (the Holy Spirit) knows what they really
need
and what will be best for them. Pray for people by the Holy Spirit and
according to God?s Word, not by what we think they need.
