> Isaiah 26:1-9 (NASB)
> Song of Trust in God's Protection
> [26:1] In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah:
> “We have a strong city;
> He sets up walls and ramparts for security.
> [2] “Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter,
> The one that remains faithful.
> [3] “The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace,
> Because he trusts in You.
> [4] “Trust in the LORD forever,
> For in GOD the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock.
> [5] “For He has brought low those who dwell on high, the unassailable city;
> He lays it low, He lays it low to the ground, He casts it to the dust.
> [6] “The foot will trample it,
> The feet of the afflicted, the steps of the helpless.”
> [7] The way of the righteous is smooth;
> O Upright One, make the path of the righteous level.
> [8] Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, O LORD,
> We have waited for You eagerly;
> Your name, even Your memory, is the desire of our souls.
> [9] At night my soul longs for You,
> Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently;
> For when the earth experiences Your judgments
> The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

> Good morning precious family!! We're forecast to have a bit of a storm today, and there is a heightened sense of fear in the minds of many as we prepare for work, daycare, school, whatever it is that causes us to have to travel. This is the Midwest, and our weather this time of year is unpredictable. Tornadoes loom over head like the footsteps of a lion, waiting, watching for the opportunity to pounce on the unsuspecting. We are so very fragile in the face of such awesome power. By "we" I mean these bodies that house our souls. But they are only temporary shelters, and do not constitute the believer's life.
>
> As I am writing, a storm is passing overhead, yet the shelter of my home has remained secure so far, and will for only as long as it pleases God. Yet, I am His, and rest in His loving arms, no matter what the weather, or any other circumstances of this life. I remind my self of this to keep my focus on eternity and off the passing circumstances that surround me on all sides.
>
> The circumstances in your life may be much different than mine at the moment, but the concept is the same. Whether you are facing finals in this last week of school, a challenge at work, difficulty with your children, a fragile relationship with a loved one, financial woes or illness, our Savior guides us through the maze of this life, all for His glory!
>
> Just now, the clouds of the storm are passed and the sun is shining brightly through the window, as if to confirm that the storms of life are only transitory, the foreshadowing of God's promise to us of life eternal, in heaven for those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Is your name written down in glory?
>
> May the Lord God richly bless you with the awareness of His presence in your life today, and the fellowship of believers all around, undergirding you in prayer with demonstrations of love!!
