I love it when God works like that. It's awesome, isn't it?

Subject: [Faith-talk] When a Storm became a Blessing

While listening to a favorite cd of mine, I heard the song Till the Storm
PassesBy, which I've sung many times in various churches. I thought back to
midApril, when one of the worst tornados we've ever had came through. It
destroyed many houses on this block, to say nothing of trailer parks nearby.
I had to eat out or have friends stop by with food for the next ten days
during the power outage. During that time, a fellow from one of the local
churches stopped by with a brochure about an up-coming block party. At
first, I thought "Oh brother, loud music and beer!" Wrong! They had snow
cones, puppet shows, hot dogs, etc. and great Christian music. Because of
their outreach, I found a church I love with people I am glad to call my
brothers and sisters in Christ. God truly does answer prayer in mysterious
ways!

Sorry for the long post, but enjoy the song below from Vestal Goodman
rendering the verse, Till the Storm Passes By.
