As I sit here wondering and pondering,
A thought comes to mind,
One that men have questioned
But can't seem to find.
The answer is simple and easily found,
If people would only stop and listen
To life's greatest sounds.
Birds singing their beautiful songs tells
Us nothing can go wrong,
As long as we look up and talk to Jesus,
He'll fill our cup with happiness and reason.
Not like men who have only greed,
God will give us our every need.
Butterflies flying and fluttering their wings,
Dogs barking at every little thing.
Brooks and creeks running
Only God knows where:
Sounds that give us believers
Nothing to fear.
Life's ups and downs, tos and fros,
Let us know that God's still in control.
All these things tell us that life is a joy,
If we only stop and listen
To life's greatest noise.
