Encouragement for today, SATURDAY edition: CASTING PEARLS IN FRONT
OF PIGS.

There are those that when one shares the wisdom of the Word with
them, that wisdom lands in fertile ground and it sprouts and grows. There
are others that are sure in their own conceit that THEY know more than God
does about just about everything.

What often seems logical and rational to the human mind may be
foolishness with God. When someone refuses to receive the life and Word of
the Lord, the Lord wants us to back off and let them walk their way.

It's hard to watch people going through things they don't have to
go through and not try to help them, but if they aren't left alone to
follow their own path, they will turn on the one trying to help them. Not
because they're angry at that person, necessarily, but because they don't
want to hear the truth when it goes against their own fleshly thinking.

      Scriptural References:
1 Corinthians 3:18-20 (King James Version)
18Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be
wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is
written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

20And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they
are vain.

      Romans 10:2-3

2For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not
according to knowledge.

3For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to
establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the
righteousness of God.

      1 Corinthians 14:38

38But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

      Matthew 7:6

6Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your
pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn
again and rend you.

      Isaiah 5:20-21 (King James Version)

20Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put
darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and
sweet for bitter!

21Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in
their own sight!

20And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they
are vain.
