You can also interact with fellow Christians at sites like Christian Forums,
www.christianforums.com, which has a wide variety of groups and
subcategories of things to talk about.

Andrew,
You don't seem to take our advice, so I'll try one more time.
Don't listen to church leaders or be involved where they don't want you.
Either find another church, or do not go. As I suggested earlier, you can be
spiritual by listening to any number of ministries on tv or radio. The
www.studylight.org site has sermons as well as something like In touch
ministries www.intouch.org or Powerpoint ministries www.jackgraham.org.
You can read a bible, devotional, and do bible study on your own at home.
You can even join online communities to discuss faith.

I know you feel lonely and depressed, but if you do nothing it only stays
the same. Since you cannot get out of home much, maybe you can take online
classes. Hadley school for the blind is a distance education program; they
mail you texts and assignments in your choice of format like braille,
cassette, or digital book. You submit assignments in your choice: braille,
typing it or sometimes by cassette.
This might provide you a way to grow in your knowledge and be stimulated.
The site is www.hadley.edu.

I had a blind friend in a country area, like toward the mountains. His
parents both worked; there were no jobs and few resources out there; and no
transportation. He felt trapped. He went to live with his aunt in another
city in VA; and when that did not work out, he decided he wanted to stay so
he got a roommate. He used his SSI government check to live and pay rent; he
started going to community college. But his parents recognized the need for
him to move to an area with resources. They helped him out. Maybe your
parents don't; maybe they don't know what a blind person can do. So you
need to look around and do something. Either find something to do at home or
move out and do something on your own.

Even though you may be at home, you have an internet connection. So you can
do lots of things from listening to downloaded or streaming books, to
hearing sermons for Christian food, to taking online classes from Hadley or
another university, to virtual volunteering.

Good luck. And I also hope you can talk to a counselor.
Ashley

My pastors don't really have any resources for me i was told i needed to
grow before i even serve and things like that but i don't get that kind of
help as far as growing spiritually and things.

There is just not much for me to do i should just give up.
