Hello and good day to you all. I hope that everyone had his/her spiritual batteries charged yesterday at your local Christian assembly, as the undersigned surely did. And now for today's quotes. Be blessed as you read them.
Circumstances that imprison us cannot limit God's work through us.
When you think of all that's good, give your thanks to God. (quote compiler's comment: Now that's one for this coming Thursday, right?)
Live today as if you will stand before God tomorrow.
No matter what happens, you can find joy in the Lord.
Evangelism is one beggar telling another beggar where to find bread.
Those who know Christ now will sing His praises forever.
For every minute you are angry, you lose 60 seconds of happiness.
With God, you're never lost in a crowd.
Faith shines brightest in a childlike heart.
Christ's cleansing power can remove the most stubborn stain of sin.
And there you have it for today. Hope these sayings were thought-provoking to you all.
For those interested, there is a collection of six recordings made on wax cylinders between 1898 and 1900 featuring the singing (and I believe the piano playing, although liner notes don't explicitly say so) of the artistry of Ira Sankey, the man who accompanied D.L. Moody on his revivals during the 19th century. You can order it from http://www.tinfoil.com. But be warned: These recordings are of a very low-tech quality; but, if you can get beyond that, you're in for a great listen. These recordings are on one CD from the above organization. Don't know the price, as it was given to me several years ago as a Christmas present.
And now until tomorrow when, Lord willing more quotes will be presented, I remain your obedient servant of the Lord, Paul Barnabas.
