[Faith-talk] Miracles

Hi, I'm sure that god still performs maracles because I know of some but I am not sure that the miracle that we want is allways what we need. Six years ago I lost quite a bit of hearing and have lost more since then. At first I was confused and aangry. I couldn't understand what God was doing and why he was doing it. I couldn't imagine being hard of hearing and blind both. Losing my hearing was affecting the simplest of daily tasks. I needed hearing aides and when they came it was a huge relief. As time went by I realized that my Lord was always there for me even when I couldn't pray. He still spoke. I realized that he knew what was happening to me and had put everything in place so that I would have what I needed. I also realized anew that he doesn't show his love through the signs but show his love in that while we were yet sinners christ died for us. My relationship with christ is filled with peace and simple and complete joy in knowing his love is everlasting and he doesn't love me more or less whether I can see or here or whether any body part ceases to work. For me the question isn't whether god does miracles but do you love him now no matter what the answer may be yes or no or wait for my time. If our faith is based solely on sign and wonders we are missing the whole point of god's redeeming love.
