[Faith-talk] I need prayer about the fact I had to give up my retired guide dog

thanks, I'm not sure I will get another guide even though I applied for one at another school.

They were supposed to send me a medical release via email early in the week to sign and email back. It hasn't come and maybe it's Heavenly Father's way of saying I don't need another dog.

My life isn't really active enough for one and my personal assistant takes me almost everywhere I go.

As far as the cane travel goes. I want to break it in half and scream every time I take it and leave the house. I hate it beyond belief and I don't think it gives enough information about my surroundings for me to consider it a safe method of travel, which is why I got a dog in the first place.

I guess I will just let the dog thing go for now and swallow the feelings of bitterness and hate for the cane every time I pick it up to travel.

My dog just found a permanent home a couple months ago for many reasons and i've found it very helpful at times to just have people listen, not pretend to know what to say, but just sit with me and listen or just be on the emotional roller coaster with me. I'M on both skype and zello

Also, I'm considering unsubscribing to my guide dog lists because I am unsure about the whole thing altogether and don't want to hear about dog stuff when the loss is so fresh and while having to adjust to cane life again, yuck.

Sounds intriguing on one hand, and nerve wracking on the other. I could suggest a ton of music to them and i did today , but being back onstage again is a different thing altogether
