How do you use the sliding technique if you have that weird NFB tip on your cane.  

Unfortunately, that's the lightest cane I've seen so far but I hate that tip with a passion.

also, part of the reason why I was so hesitant about joining the NFB was because of their holier than thou attitude about the cane.

I didn't appreciate being criticized about my cane skills when they don't know me, have never met me, have never seen my cane work, and don't know my history with mobility.

I thought this mailing list was supposed to be about faith and uplifting each other, not judgment and condemnation, especially about someone they've never met or even spoken to.
