[Faith-talk] All went well

My husband's baptism went well yesterday, though they had to immerse him twice cause his hand popped out of the water while he was immersed the first time.

I didn't know it, but they didn't fill the font all the way, so the water was only to his groin.

the second immersion was quite drastic, as the person baptizing him kind of had to lay his body on top of Brad's so it would stay completely under. Also, it lasted twice as long as the first immersion, so as it was being done, in my mind, I thought, "is he gonna ever let him up," *smile*.

I sang a special piece for him, which went well, except for the first verse, which has kind of weird wording, and I said the wrong word at first and then said the right one in the middle of the pitch. People said they didn't notice it, but people are also polite when it comes to things like that.

I sang "I Need thee Every Hour", which I thought was a Latter Day Saint hymn only. However, I heard a version the country group Alabama do, which only had the first verse in it.

Today, he had hands laid on his head, and was given the gift of the Holy Ghost, and was confirmed an official member of the church.

Next weekend, he will be given the first of two priesthood keys, which is the Aaronic Priesthood. which allows him to be able to baptist and bless the sacriment, which to most is either called Communion, or the Lord's Supper.

After a while, he will be given the second key to the priesthood, which is the Melkesidic Priesthood. Which will allow him to anoint and bless those who are sick and afflicted, or simply bless those who feel as though they need a blessing from someone who holds the priesthood.

Thank you for all those who supported us though this glorious tie.

for those who disagree with our faith, please, before you read all the junk that incorrect on the internet.

Look on our official website, which is www.mormon.org.

Have a blessed rest of your Sabbath.

Blessings,

Jenny ,
