Hello and good evening or day to you all, ladies and gentlemen, saints of the Most High God and children of our heavenly King-Father. I hope that, by God's matchless grace and His providential care, that you in North America had a good day today. Mine was good, especially when I heard that all costs for my System Access screen reader software have all been paid, and that I automatically am now enrolled in the System Access Mobile Network, allowing access to their media library. Not only that, but John, the deacon of my new church, is coming by to fetch me and another lady at a convenient time tomorrow morning. So, as you can see, I have several things to praise God for.

Joni Crumpton was 15 years old when she penned the poem you are about to read. At the time of this writing she resided in Tampa FL. Her contribution is simply entitled "Prayer," and is rendered as follows:

They rose from their knees at the altar
Where they had been praying and asking the Lord
To help them not to falter.
As she tried to be a Christian witness every day,
In good times, in hardships,
Come what may.

She raised her head after talking with the Lord
Sitting in her office,
And without saying a word.
She began the daily routine
She had been accustomed to
With assurance that the Lord
Would help her make it through.

I sleep each night in peace,
And awake without a care each day,
Because I know, whenever I need help,
He's only a prayer away.

Oh, wherever it may be,
Church, school, work or home,
I'm not ashamed to close my eyes
And let everyone know that I love the Lord
Enough to talk with Him,
And that He loves me enough to listen and understand.

Sorry if these lines may have seemed a bit distorted, but when you don't have a copy of the original work before you in written form, you have no choice than to make an educated guess about where one line ends and another begins. Now with rhymes, it's a bit easier. Nonetheless I hope that you all enjoyed Sister Joni's submission. Again, as I've asked previously, if anyone reading any of these poems knows where the author(s) are and how they are faring, I think that we would all like to know. Thanks for your help in this matter, if you have any knowledge about such things.

And now may the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob just keep us safe, individually and collectively, throughout this night or day and especially in these last days in which we live. Your Christian friend and brother, Paul
