Hi Paul. Sorry I missed your call. It is so pretty here that I went outside with the puppies and left both phones in the house. I put an update to Reba but to make it short, it does not look good. It is hidden in a bill to fund higher education. They have found that they are spending 28 million alone on blind persons each year for Medicaid so they want to slide that money over to the colleges. I am just trusting God and checking out insurances just in case. You know this silly Medical thing Abama passed says that we have to have insurance but I hope and pray we do not loose our Medicaid. I understand that Pennsylvania is the only state other than Missouri who still get a blind pension. To qualify there, you cannot make over $4900 per year which is very low and their check is only $100. Hope all is well with you.
Mary

Hello Mary. My name is Paul from Baltimore, a member of the NCCB. Was wondering how legislation is progressing regarding the subject, as are many blind folks outside your state? Tried to call you but you weren't home. Any updates would be appreciated by you and the many folks on email lists that I'm on. Thanks in advance for your info, and will continue to pray for the situation in Missouri. Your Christian brother, Paul Smith
