[Faith-talk] Election Results

Good evening everyone,

 

                I promised you I would get back to you with the Chapter
election results. I prayed that God would do His will in our Chapter
elections, and he did by telling me to keep on instructing our Braille class
and to stay involved in any other Chapter committees our new president
assigns me to. Athalie Malone is our new president. She is fairly new to the
Chapter, but has some good ideas, such as starting a local mentoring
program, among other things. I was nominated four times-for president, for
vice president, for secretary, and for board member, and was defeated all
four times, but that's fine. I have no hard feelings. Athalie plans to
attend the Washington Seminar next month and the 2012 national convention in
Dallas in July. I am willing to work with her and keep staying involved any
way God wants me to.
