*As we celebrate Palm Sunday and rejoice over the journey our Lord made
to
the cross for our sins to be forgiven, our Church also celebrates
Confirmation Sunday.  The child(ren) of about 13 years of age are examined
on the Sunday before Palm Sunday.  On Examination Sunday they are asked
questions of what they have learned in the years of instruction in God's
Word using Luther's Small Catechism.  Then on Palm Sunday, they come
before
the Church body and are welcomed into the family of Believers of the
Church.  They are confirming their vows that were made for them on their
Baptismal Day by their Baptismal Sponsors.  They are telling the Church
and
all who will listen that Jesus is their Savior and in Him they fully
believe.  We rejoice with them and recall our vows made on our
Confirmation
and Baptism.  We as a congregation in God's Army, welcome them, support
them, and pray for them.  Praising God for my Confirmation!  Praising God
for my Christian Parents who loved me and nurtured me and brought me up in
the nurture and admonition of the Lord!
