hi friends
here is an update for curtis. he will be in surgery at 9-30 a.m. may 
15. we have to leave the house at 5-30 or something like that to be at 
the hospital at 7 tomorrow.
please keep curtis in prayrs as he is dealing with ghout on top of 
everything else!!! please join us in prayers that the ghout subsides 
before surgery and actually stays away while he is in the hospital. we 
don't want that on top of recovery!!!!
also pray for curtis as he is a little anxious of corse. of course so 
am i and the children. he has had two other open heart surgeries and 
knows what to expect, but still!!!! please pray for god's touch of 
peace to be upon him and us, for god's hands of healing and guidance and 
wisdom during and after surgery, for godly nurses and doctors to be 
surrounding curtis, for the surgery to go excedingly well, for recovery 
to be not so bad and not too painful, for curtis as he deals with all 
the adjustments and worries about what is going on with himself as well 
as his children.
if all goes well, he will still in icu for 1/3 days and recovery room 
3/5 days!!!! then he can come home and just recover in his own 
surroundings, smiles.

also keep the children in prayers. they will be going up to their 
aunts's homes. unfortunately, they have to be separated and that makes 
both curtis and i a little edgy. we would have loved to have all the 
kids together, but that isn't working out. they will probably leave 
late tuesday or early wednesday morning.
pray for me to have courage and strenght and to face the lonely times at 
home alone etc. pray for me to feel god's love, peace and protection on 
all of us, kids, curtis, and myself. pray for me to find rides back and 
forth to the hospital, for kind and patient nurses and people to help me 
back and forth to the rooms, cafeteria, bathroom, etc. also praying 
that our blindness or moreso my blindness doesn't make the nurses werry 
about having me around and the after care for curtis.
