Hello and good evening once again to my fellow Christian brothers and sisters residing in North America. I hope that, by God's matchless grace and His providential care, that you all had a good day today. Mine was OK, tempered by the fact that my dear brother in Christ, Curtis Martin, had his open-heart surgery and as of this writing, don't yet know the results or outcome of it. However, I know that the Lord has His hand on him and, covered in warm blankets of prayer offered up by his brother and sister Christians scattered in various places around the world, Curtis is in good hands. I sincerely hope that he will get a good night's rest. He's probably either still in the recovery room or in the ICU at Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax VA.

Our final inspirational poetic words to honor Mother's Day come from the pen of yet another person that I've never heard of before. His name is John C. Bonser and his contribution is entitled "What Mothers Can Do," rendered as follows:

Mothers can do such wonderful things:
Make homes seem like castles worthy of kings,
Create an adventure by reading a book,
Smiling to show us how heaven must look.

Mothers can heal when a little heart "breaks,"
Banish "starvation" with cookies and cakes.
Mothers can judge each disputed case,
Forgiving the culprits, the docket erase.

Mothers are misers who hoard baby shoes,
Snapshots, report cards, and things others lose.
Mothers can teach in their own special school,
"Follow yellow brick roads and the wise golden rule!"
Surely mothers are angels sent here from above
To help us to soar on the wings of their love.

I hope that these words ministered to you this evening. And now may the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob just keep you safe throughout the night and especially in these last days in which we live. Your Christian brother, Paul
