[Faith-talk] being healed from blindness

Hi eveverybody,
I wanted to tell you that I’ve been to churches where they lay hands on you and try to heal you over and over again in the same session.
they just assume that that is what you want out of GOD or life.
I had to lie and pretend that some of my sight was restored to make one churches pastor stop.
I go to a very old school traditional catholic church. They include everybody and they have been very inclusive of me.
People from the church take Brad grocery shopping, and we get together when we can.
also, Everybody is great about getting me to and from mass.
christmas is going to be hard though cause I need someone strong to get my chair up the stairs to the church as the church is the poorest church in the diocese and they don’t have the money to put in a ramp.
Most people I know are not going to be here for Christmas, so I’ll probably miss Christmas masses both on Christmas at midnight and two more during the day.
Other than that, if people can help they are more than happy to do it and I am included in things in the church too.
I’m sorry for those who don’t have that.
I’ve been there too.

Stefany, I am sorry to hear about your current sittuation, I really understand your feelings, I have talked to quite a few people lately going through the same emotions. I don't want to sound like a big steriotype, but I hope you have a Spiritual out litt outside of the Church, like this list, good books, devotions, positive and healing music, good forms of entertainment weather it be friends, movies or TV shows, all of these things can play a part in carrying us through the hard times and help us to feel closer to God.

>> I have to say that right now, I'm feeling rather disulused with the church. They were never around to help as when things got tough for our family. I sing in the choir, but when I was ill recently, no one called or wanted to know how I was. I have a friend who is suffering for liver cancer. Same thing, they express concern but that's as far as it goes. I'd had more help and support and offered the same more to those who don't believe in God. I just think it's awful when those who claim to have a belief and love God don't show that. I'd rather mix with those who are loving, accept me for who I am, and appreciate the support.
>> Right now, I'm thinking of quitting church altogether. I still believe in God, but I want to be with those who accept me for who I am, don't give pat answers when things are tough, and just are humans.
