Oh, Andrew, we give money not to the church, but to God.  True 
God doesn't need money but we need to give.  We need to give what 
is precious to us, and for many people that is their money.  In 
the United States, at least, tithing is really a very small 
portion of Christians doing it.  But I know that when I have 
tithed in the past it stretched my faith and God did bless me so
