so you are brailling the words of the songs.
this is a lot different than reading the music your other choir members see.
They see the notes and lyrics.
if it works for you that is good.
if I walked on stage with a cane, I wouldn't know what to do with it. in a
choir, its quite crowded. its not like there's room on the risers for it to
lay down.
sounds like you have a accomodating
conductor.

I always take my cane and walk onto an off the stage using it. I ask someone
to read me the words for the soprano solos and Choral
parts, and I Braille them. Or, my conductor for church choir sends me the
texts and a midi file of my part in an email. We then use
our Braille embosser and Braille out the texts he sent.
