RJ,
I'm a pastor, and I can feel for you on this one.
In my situation I became a pastor before my eyesight became an issue.
But I have served this same church for 26 years now, and have not found
another church in my denomination that will call me.
I've been considered by a couple, but know that my blindness was a big
hurdle for them to overcome.
I want to say that my current church has done a wonderful job of caring for
me and helping me through the transitions required by decreasing eyesight.
But that still does not answer the question of how to find a church who will
extend a call to you.
I don't have a good answer for this, because as blind pastor's we have a lot
to prove, and few congregations will consider us.
That being said, here are some suggestions.
Does your denomination have an office of disability concerns that could
advocate for you?
Does your denomination have an office that works with pastors and
congregations in a pastoral way, and might there be someone there with whom
you could talk, who might help you connect with a particular congregation?
Might there be a church out there that needs someone for a short term -- a
church who might be willing to take a short term risk, so to speak, where
you could then demonstrate your gifts for ministry?
And, this is a humble approach, but look among the small congregations who
have a harder time attracting a pastor.
Or perhaps you can find a staff position in a larger congregation, easier
than a solo pastor position.
Think about people you know who might advocate for you or recommend you to a
church somewhere.
If I can be of any help to you, or you just want to talk out some
frustrations you can contact me at

Blessings,
Tom
