I was going to suggest the same, dear sister. To my knowledge,
Adventists do not use any literature additional to the Bible. They
vary in their interpretation of scripture to a degree that they place
emphasis on celebrating the Sabath as the jews do from friday night
to Saturday evening. I am not aware of them making salvation
dependent on this nor denounsing other Christians' salvation for not
agreeing with them.
I would not give much to what other people say or how they react
should you change churches or denoniminatial affiliation. There was
no such thing at the time of Christ. Christ was a Jew and did not
come to form a new jewish sect but change the way people related to
God and he wanted to do what only he could since the fall - bridge
the gap between God himself by taking his sin on for us.
Finally, if I believe in a persnal relationship with God and to God,
it is not mine to judge how a person relates to God. I will certainly
voice my opinion and do not shy away from discussion .
For my personal journey of faith or walk with God, I almost always
wound up amidst the underdogs: with church of christ harding
University community, Chris and I on our second day there, met a gurl
that attended a house church formed by one of the university's
professors that was sort of blacklisted because they did not have
elders and basically were just a small house church and christians
that lived and shared their faith together. with the catholic church,
I ended up fellowshipping at a local church that had their own don
Camillo of sorts who had been sent to a small conservative
congregation for his political and social activities at his former
church and promptly turned the new church around by introducing them
to having breakfast together between services and just relating as
church family.
My theLord richly bless you in your walk with him and draw you ever
closer. He is all that matters.
In his grip of grace!
