Hello and good day to you all out in cyberspace. I hope and pray that, by God's matchless grace and His providential care, that you are all doing well as you read these few lines today.

For today's contribution we go way back to the year 1906. However let's review a few things that happened in that year. In 1906 the famous band leader, Lawrence Welk, was born in Strassburg, North Dakota. Also in that year on Christmas Eve Reginald Fessenden made the first radio broadcast from Brant Rock, Massachusetts. Also in that year the famous Azusa Street Revival took place, out of which came, among other things, a gospel song that is still sung today: "The Comforter Has Come." And in that year Warren R. Fitch wrote our contributing poem for today entitled "I Shall Not Pass This Way Again," rendered as follows:

I shall not pass this way again,
The thought is full of sorrow.
The good I ought to do today,
I may not do tomorrow.

Only the present hour is mine--
I may not have another
In which to speak a kindly word
Or help a fallen brother.

If I this moment should withhold
The help I might be giving,
Some soul may die, and I shall lose
The sweetest joy of living.

I shall not pass this way again,
Oh, then, the high endeavor,
May I my life and service give
To Him who reigns forever.

Some of you may have read this in the past, but for the majority of you it may be the first time you've ever read it. I hope and pray that Warren's words were a blessing to you today.

And now may the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob just keep us safe, individually and collectively, in these last days in which we live. Lord willing, tomorrow there will be another daily thought message and article for you. Your Christian friend and brother, Paul
