the church is simply the remnant out of each denomination that doesn’t judge one another.
anyone with the holy spirit is saved. if you are without the holy spirit, you are doomed.

Now I beseech you, bretheren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgement.

I still don’t agree with a lot, but I mentioned before that I was confirmed in the Church some years ago, so I’m really familiar with the teachings. I always said that if I were Christian, it’d have to be Catholic. But my personal opinion is that Christianity is flawed from its very roots.

Not everyone, of course, and I’ve met some wonderful Christians in my day, but in general that’s what I notice.

As I said in an earlier post, Christians are the only army that shoots its own wounded. Did the Catholic Church make mistakes? Yes. Did Protestants make mistakes? Yes. ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Pointing fingers at other believers is extremely disheartening. I would ask with respect that you stop it. I have tried on this list to express my agreements or disagreements with people in a respectful and loving way. And I will continue to do that, but I am not going to sit by and let you express anti-Catholic sentiment. This list is for people of all faiths, and no faith at all. I don't always agree with Brandon, for instance, but I think we respect each other. So let's calm down the rhetoric here and be civil. Peace, Debby
