[Faith-talk] Translation in Theology.

Hi guys! 
For the record: 
I am not an expert in languages or theology. I am a blind Pagan with a lot of first hand experiences with interfaith relations. My family members range from Athiests to Christians. My teachers range from Pagans to Christians. My friends are Christians. My boy friend's family range from Athiests to Christians. My boyfriend is a Pagan. I have also met and known people of all faiths throughout my life. With all of that said, I have my own ideas that might be a great help for future E Mails. Any time that you come across legends, mythology, folk lore, dogma and scripture, you are coming across sacred literature, also known as sacred texts. They are called sacred texts because the group that wrote them also read, studdy, remember and actually regard them as the truth. A very good example of this is the way that Christians read, studdy, remember and regard the bible as the truth. Whenever someone comes along and questions the translations of sacred texts, the group of people on the receiving end often sees it as offensive. Whenever I read sacred texts or even E Mails like the one that Paul sends every day, I read them with respect even if I don't believe every word. I also reconize that each language has its own beauty and level of expression. I believe that it's important to pass good information to the next generation. If no one passed on their genes and good information, nothing would be alive on earth now days. We know enough about science and sacred texts to understand their information even with language gaps, thanks to the translators. The request covers religion but also totally leaves the blind community in the dust. I don't know of a blind translater of sacred texts. Next time that you think of such requests, save, read and read my E Mail again and put what I have said into concidderation before you type and send.
