RJ,
I understand how you feel, but maybe you should be the one to get off the list if you hate religion topics? I don’t know how new you are, but just because this is an NFB list doesn’t mean we all go around discussing religion and blindness. isn’t that a little narrow-minded? It’s like a bunch of old people talking about their aches and pains. How would we benefit from religion and blindness? You really can’t put the two together, unless you pity being blind or something, or maybe blindness is all you want to talk about and don’t want to expand on religion.

In fact, if someone prominent in the NFB heard what you said, I would think he/she would be offended. We are blind…so what? Who cares? We move on in life and discuss other things other than blindness. I personally took offense to what you said because I don’t go around talking about blindness every sentence. If you don’t like a topic anyone discusses, you don’t have to read it, or you can have some respect and agree to disagree. This is freedom of religion and we all have a right to our own opinions. If you don’t like that, tough luck.

Mostafa, I am sorry for the jerks on this list. God bless you…don’t worry about what people say…just keep posting.

I had the same experience when I shared my non-Christian perspective when I first joined this list. I’ve seen strong language, but no rudeness, so I don’t see what the problem is.
