I tried to force myself to get into them a couple of times, but it just
didn't work. I wanted to know what all of the fuss was about, but it was a
no go for me.

I really liked the Harry Potter books, for all the reasons you said.  Since
I just got laid off my job, I may take some time this winter to listen to
all of them in order again.  I had all the braille copies, but they belong
to someone else now.  I just
