[Faith-talk] update on my friend in Iowa

Ashley and all,
I agree with all comments here in this thread. I do care about others,
and I'm not sure RJ does, no offense, but a pastor in a church should
have a bit more compassion for others. My boyfriend and I are both
totally blind, but being denied basic rights to privacy and other things
because of our disabilities does not compute for us. If, for instance,
Blake and I were separated by women's and men's areas in the group home
we would supposedly stay at, it would be impossible for us to have a
relationship and if we did, staff would sort of strangle us. We're not
children, and as the NFB slogan says, we want to live the lives we
want. So, let's do it, guys. Let's help Nick and others like him live
the lives they want. :)
Beth
P.S. Thank you all for your support.
